To Be Eligible for Holiday Assistance, You Must:

• Live within the Sylvania School District and provide proof of residency. A current utility bill in your name is required.

• You must currently receive assistance through JFS OR be enrolled in the Free and Reduced Lunch Program through Sylvania Schools.

Important Information:

• You may only submit one application per household. Applications including individuals not living in your household or duplicate submissions will be deleted.

• If you have already signed up for Holiday Assistance with another organization, you will not be eligible to sign up with Sylvania Area Family Services.

• This application covers both the Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday assistance.

Required Documentation to Upload:

• All applicants must provide proof of residency within the Sylvania School District.

• Upload your current JFS eligibility/approval letter (NOA) if you are receiving JFS assistance. If you are not receiving JFS assistance, upload your current 2026/27 approval/determination letter from Sylvania Schools showing eligibility for the Free and Reduced Lunch Program.

• A current utility bill within 30 days of application.

• All information is subject to verification.

• If your application is approved, you will receive an email with your pickup date and time. Please be sure to check your spam or junk email folder regularly, as our emails may sometimes be directed there.

• You must present a valid ID at the time of pickup.​​
