Holiday Adopt-a-Family Program
Through our Holiday Adopt-a-Family Program, community members can provide gifts and holiday essentials to a local family in need.
How It Works

Choose a Family – Browse available families on this page and select the family or families you would like to adopt.

Fill out the Form - Fill out the form below and let us know which family or families you plan to adopt.

Print the Wish List – Once you select a family, print their wish list to use as a shopping guide.

Shop for the Family – You do not need to purchase everything on the list. Choose the items that work best for you and your budget.

Label Your Gifts – All gifts must be new. Please put the Family Number and the child’s gender and age on each gift (example: Boy, Age 10).

Drop Off Your Donations – Bring your donations to Sylvania Area Family Services during the designated drop-off dates and times listed below.
Your generosity helps make the holidays brighter for local children and families.
Who We Serve
The Holiday Adopt-a-Family Program assists local families with children age 17 and younger who are experiencing financial hardship. Families participating in the program must meet SAFS eligibility requirements based on demonstrated financial need.
Your Impact
When you adopt a family, you do more than provide gifts. You help a local child experience the excitement and joy of the holiday season and help parents create meaningful holiday memories for their children.
